Bibbidi Bobbidi Booo....

Yes, we are in Orlando. Yes, we are having a BLAST! Today was particularly fun. We took the girls to the Boutique in Downtown Disney, and had a day off from the madness of the parks, not that we didn't have fun there yesterday but it was really nice today to take it easy, pamper the girls and wander around aimlessly. Then for dinner we took Daddy to Kouzinna's (Cat Cora's new place in Disney's Boardwalk Inn). This was his treat and our little gift to him. Though we all had a fabulous dinner and dessert! :) After dinner we walked it off walking around the lake at the Boardwalk Inn.. WOW! Neither of us was prepared for what a place that was. We were at the Grand Floridian yesterday for breakfast and that was brilliant too but the Boardwalk was like stepping back into turn of the century New England. Being from Maine, it was just really cool for me! LOL.

And in case you were wondering... yes Devyn chose platinum blond extensions for her hair. And when I asked her if I needed to take her hair down tonight... with a shake of her head so that she could feel the hair swishing around her shoulders she said "NO! Not take my hair down..it's preeeetty!" It was hysterical! She was hysterical all day! (Yes Diane, her desire for long hair so reminds me of Little M!) We will see how the hair holds up through the night or if baths will be necessary in the morning before we head to our Princess lunch. Wish me luck because at some point the hair will have to come down and I know one little Princess (DIVA) who is not going to like that at all.

Happy Birthday Devyn!!

Mmmmm....that must be some good ice cream... LOL

Well, obviously we had Devyn's birthday party today and I am happy to say it was super!! All out of town presents showed up in yesterday's mail, perfect timing Mom and Aunt Tiny;) The kids all had a great time, we didn't get to swim because as you may have noticed the weather wasn't really cooperative, I am NOT complaining because it nothing to what our friends in TN, KY and Arkansas have been going through and our prayers remain with them. But the cooler temps did make the pool impossible, but the rain did hold off enough that the kids were able to play outside, jump in the bounce house and just in general have a really good time. Every one got along and things just went really smoothly. I'm sure Daddy being home and the entertainer he is had a lot to do with that. But either way I put to bed two very tired but happy girls tonight and safe to say that Dev got the idea that it was HER day! LOL

We thank everyone that was able to join us in home and in spirit and we hope you had a very good weekend too!!

New Heights

Before I forget and so I have this on record, haha, Daddy just took some quick measurements of the girls. Julia 42 1/2 inches tall and Devyn 37". Two growing girls here. :) Why is this so random, because Mama was having a hard time deciding what size dresses to order (especially for Dev) for our upcoming trip and for a certain little princesses Birthday. We are planning a mermaid party for Sunday afternoon, forecast says Thunder storms at the moment, please pray that they don't materialize!!! I believe today's agenda includes working on the pool before spending the late afternoon running for school and activities. Wish us luck, lots to do to get ready for the weekend and Papa and Nai-Nai's upcoming visit!! :)

Tee ball

Yes, she actually fell asleep with the mask on, we are wearing the poor girl out apparently. LOL
Slightly belated Soccer Trophy, we missed the last game and party due to a conflict with dance. I don't think she minded too much, she's still pretty proud of this! :)

I love this one! haha

Whew, we are very tired. Lots of running this week, soccer ended, Tee ball has started. We have the same coaches, great guys, but a much bigger team. 14 and counting on the team so far. Let's just say it's probably a good thing we won't actually have a game until May 8 instead of the first. I think they need a bit more practice before we let 'em loose! LOL. On the good side though it seemed like a lot more parent involvement then we had for soccer so that could be a very good thing, or not.... haha time will tell.

So we did the usual dance, then tee ball, then Julia got to "visit" her teacher's morning class, basically it gives her a chance to go to school all day, spend some time in a bigger class setting and we get a feel for how she may adjust next year. She did great, had a great time, but was definitely one tired little girl last night. We have so much going on it feels like. Daddy and Devyn and I have been taking off every day to get some errands done, we went yesterday and got Crocs at the outlet store.. only to get the ones for Julia too big.. I hate it when kids are between sizes... so frustrating.. Oh well, the way she grows I'm not gonna sweat it too much. Just frustrating.

Today we tried to get Dev's social security number straightened out *yes we haven't done that yet* only to not have the right paperwork again.... so we'll see what we can do about this weekend and hopefully get back over there Monday or Tuesday.. ugh. I knew there was a reason I was putting that off. I detest doing this stuff, it's what we love Daddy for! :)

Really hoping that tomorrow we can not come up with anything that MUST be done and can just take it easy (hard to get the hubby to do sometimes). Sunday we are headed to Disney on Ice! Can't wait!! The girls have no idea, should be a fun afternoon!! :)
