Just a few more random pics. Enjoy

Turning 4 years old. :)
A day at the beach back in March, yes, it was that warm then, it cooled back off.
Mismatched sock day.
Rare moment of sisterly love.
Taylor Swift tickets= one very happy girl.

Meet Missy, our new addition

Yep, I went and temporarily lost my mind and went to the shelter. (What was I thinking?!) and I couldn't resist this sad little thing, that just went crazy when they brought her in the room to visit. She started out being the best dog, by the time Ray got home, she was ramping up to turn into a collossal pain in the butt! I originally got her with J in mind, since she had been begging for a pet literally every night. The longer we have her, the more I realize she is going to end up being D's dog. She is stubborn and crazy just like our Diva D. LOL But like our Diva we love her anyway. She is about a year old, so I am hoping that it will only be for the next 6 months to a year that I will be kicking myself for this one. Ha!

Field Day fun

Daddy and I both managed to be there this year for J's Field Day. We got the hot part of the day but the kids had a lot of fun. It was more a Field Couple of hours as compared to Field Days that I remember lasting all day, but I suppose the school was smaller (by several times over actually. lol) and this was the best they could come up with to give everyone time outside. Besides all day out there in this heat, no one was looking forward to anyways. ;)

Science Night

J's school put on a Science Rocks night last week, each class had done a class project and had them placed outside of the classrooms, parents, students and visitors were encouraged to walk through the halls and see them all, we made it through 4 hallways. LOL. Then we had to head to the cafeteria where the teachers had more experiments set up for the kids to do hands on with them. It was very cool but took nearly the whole 2 hours allotted time, and we had gone there straight from gymnastics and hadn't had dinner yet. Yep, another late night for us. We had a few of those last week. And yep, we dragged Papa and Nainai along for this one too, so they got to see her school and peek in her classroom. :)

J's class took eggs and soaked them in three different liquids to see how the liquids would effect the shell, which is very similar to our own tooth enamel. They quickly discovered that milk was the best thing for them, do you think this has increased her milk intake? NOPE. But at least she doesn't like soda.

Dance recital and dance pics

Whew, the big recital is over. We made it. It was a hectic crazy week leading up to it and Papa and Nainai got to witness it all and thankfully were here to help out. I can not even begin to tell you how tired I am today. She had a lot of fun but has expressed a wish not to dance again next year. As much as I love to see her try I can't say that I am ready to push her on that point if that's what she wants. We have had an incredibly busy year and I think we are both just ready for a break as we face the First grade. She also wants to give up gymnastics but I do think I am going to push her there just a bit, she is really building strength and I hate for her to lose that momentum and flexibility. Her coach was telling me that she really has drive and always strives to do better. Really nice words for a mom to hear. :) I will have to record her doing some bridge walks this summer, she amazes me. :)

The studio pictures are actually pictures of the pictures that I took with my phone. Please don't expect to get one in the mail as they were more expensive this year but I just had to share with you how they came out. They took my breath away.

I have so much more to catch up on here. I hooked my phone up and realized just how much I have been sharing on Facebook that really hasn't made it here. Hang in there while I try to play catch up.

Quality time with Papa and Nainai

Papa and Nainai arrived this past weekend. The girls are loving having them around. They have even spent the night with them out at the condo already. LOL. Unfortunately, Mom and Dad were way too tired to take much advantage of the free night to do more than spend a quiet evening at home. Classic right???

Anyway, here are some random pics from yesterday. The water is still a little cool so we mostly stuck with the heated pool, but of course had to go watch the water and look for some seashells. Such a good Papa, he was already taking them swimming before we got there yesterday. Brave man. LOL At that point it may have been anything to get them out of the condo. I'm sure they kept them busy!

Dance recital this weekend. Lots to do. I think this may be the last one. J has decided to take a break from dance next year. I'm a bit conflicted on that but I believe she is making the right choice.

Papa and Nainai will be around all week so I'm sure there will be more pics up over the next couple of weeks.

Devyn's 4th birthday

I took a Princess cake (as requested or more directed!) to Devyn's class last week to celebrate her 4th birthday. Hard to believe she is getting so big. She had a great week at school and ended the week with Dad surprising her at her friend Conner's house Saturday afternoon. The girls knew he was due home soon but didn't know he was coming in that afternoon. All in all it was a good week:) She loved having her day at school and apparently sang "today is my birthday" all morning. haha. Yep, that's my Diva D. ;)

I do have some other pics of her birthday and subsequent reunion with Dad but for convenience those pics are on my phone, and while that is easier to share on Facebook, it's a bit harder to find time and all the cords to upload those same pics here. I'll see what I can do. Both girls had pretty much the same "DADDY!" reaction. Dev seems to be most worried about him disappearing on her again. She has been most reluctant to let him out of her sight. But he is at work today and once we talked about him coming home again this afternoon she has been okay. Always with the adjustments around here. She's learning to roll with it.
