Thank you Aunt Tiny, the girls couldn't wait to give a little fashion show. LOL. As you can see everything fits, for not seeing them in person for so long, you are really good at judging sizes! And we all had a bit of an impromptu photo shoot/fashion show tonight. Always fun. Especially when the subjects are so willing. :)

Devyn's First Day of Preschool

Think she was excited??? Her teacher's said she had a GREAT Day. (Color this one RELIEVED Mama!) I stopped at Walmart on the way home from dropping her off (Walmart with NO KIDS, wow, what a concept!) and on faith that she WOULD have a good day, I picked her up her own Mermaid Tale Barbie and a Strawberry Shortcake Flick. Yes, we buy treats for the first day of school. J got flowers and a Scooby Doo movie yesterday so it was only fair. ;) I love these girls and I love that we are off to a good start (relatively) to the school year.

Julia's first day of school part 2

Waiting for the bus. In the heat. Yes, we are letting Julia ride the bus home from school. This was such a big deal to her and such a hard thing for me to let her do it. But so far it's going okay. So we'll see. Her first day of school was a big success. Today, not so much, a Time Out (from my Angel girl??!!!) Trust me, we have talked! Hopefully tomorrow is a better day again.

First Day of School

Julia started Kindergarden today. She was so ready, I was so not. We did fine, got to school on time, got her into her classroom found her cubby and seat and left. It wasn't until we got back home that I let it hit me that I just left her with someone I've only met for about 5 minutes total. What a practice that is! So unnatural. Dev and I are certainly tired, but we have a lunch date for her little buddy's birthdayand then we'll get home in time to meet the bus. I can't wait to hear how her day went. This will be the longest I've been away from her since her being put into my arms, apart from one night with Papa and Nai-Nai. It's going to be a long year. :)

Devyn Dances and Julia meets her teacher

Devyn had her first official Hip Hop dance class today. I have to admit it was really CUTE! She has been so excited to go to dance class just like Sissy. So it was a big deal. She even listened better to her teachers than I expected. Hopefully that is a good sign and it will help her with her listening skills. :)

Julia, my big girl, met her Kindergarten teacher this morning. She is excited to be starting school next week, but I think she is more excited about riding the bus?? Thing is our bus comes super early in the morning, so the plan is for me to actually take her to school but she gets to ride the bus home. We were talking about this yesterday and she came back with, "But Mama, what about your back?" Like shouldn't she take the bus in the morning too. I reassured her that I would get her to school on time. Only she would be concerned more about me than about being nervous getting on a new bus, totally new situation. I love this kid.

We are in for a few busy weeks as we all adjust to our new schedule. Bear with me as I look for time and inspiration to blog again. :)

Some Daddy and D time

Yes, we are still here. Sorry we have been AWOL this summer. It's been a busy one that has just taken a lot out of me. We were at a friend's birthday party over in Mobile today and I got this shot while Daddy and Dev were taking some time alone. For them it was like there was no one else around. I love it. :)
