Quick photo $hoot

Papa requested a specific kind of photo of the Princess last night, for a surprise (which I will share momentarily if I can) so this morning found us going out for some quick pics before leaving for school. Of course the Pixie couldn't be left out completely and I would have had a few more shots of her too but my battery died..OOPS. So next time will be her turn.. LOL.

She has been putting me through the 2 year old paces this past week, everything from painting her crib with poop.. yes, she really did, the only thing I can figure is she stripped when I first laid her down, took her nap, because I am SURE she went to sleep, then at some point stunk it up and decided that would be a good medium for art.. UGH!!! That's what I found her ever so quietly doing, and it wasn't like it was a long nap either...then twice this week she has been either getting in or out of the tub and both times managed to pee on the carpet, not the flooring in the bathroom, no that would be too easy, the carpet in my closet and my bedroom carpet on her way to her room to go get a diaper and pj's on... it has just been one of THOSE weeks.. I wish I could say she's ready for potty training, but she is just so not. She will sit on the potty but she never actually uses it. I think for her this is just going to be one of those things that when she gets it, she just gets it but until then she can't be bothered.

On a brighter note, one of the other moms at the prek and I have decided to start carpooling, one of us will take the girls to school in the morning and the other will pick up after school. As preK is only 3 hours and we both have a 2 year old we just felt like we weren't being able to accomplish anything in the 2, 2 1/2 hours we actually had free. We've just been trying it out this week but I think I can speak for both of us when I say this is working out much better for both of us. And the girls love riding to and from school together. :)

Anyway.. that's pretty much been it for us. I have been gathering addresses for the Princess to turn into school for her Flat Stanley project and it promises to be lots of fun. I'll post more about that another time.

This is what happens after a day of prek and a playdate, asleep in the chair right after dinner! So sweet, hated to wake her up to put her to bed.

Hope everyone had a safe and Happy Halloween! As you can see we went Trick or Treating with some friends. We had so much fun we didn't get home til after 10 pm!!! YIKES! But the girls had a blast and I had a great time visiting too. The Princess was Giselle (from Enchanted ) in case you were wondering and of the Pixie went as Snow White. The Princess was adorable running from house to house and the Pixie was a complete slow poke that we had to keep putting in the stroller just so she could keep up! We only went around one block, the Pixie only did 1/2 of it before we decided the little ones had gotten enough of the experience (and enough candy!) and they just rode the rest of the way quite happy to be taking it all in. The older girls ran almost the whole way and had so much fun together. It was adorable!

Today is back to reality, we slept late and are now in the process of putting the house back together, I have some toys to sort through and some serious house work to catch up on... I don't think I like reality...

The Princess got to dress up for school today, such a simple thing turned into a totally stressful morning. She has been planning on wearing her Belle costume all week, then last night tells me she wants to wear her Silvermist costume.. okay except the wings won't stay up straight and I was going to have to stop at the store and hope I could find some velcro to attach them better. Well morning comes and she is back to Belle, great, we don't have to leave early.... except somehow between last night when she tried the shoes on to make sure they still fit and this morning one has gone missing.. so we usually leave the house at 11, it's 11:10 still no shoe so it was a last minute quick change to Ariel, as the Aurora and Cinderella costumes were itchy, I think she was stalling hoping I would change my mind and say "fine just be Giselle" but I am sorry I didn't want her wearing that particular costume to school and she will get to wear it tomorrow for Trick or Treating. Ugh.. what a morning!! But doesn't she make a cute little mermaid despite all that. And of course the Pixie had to dress up too, only fair, so here is a sneak peek of her Halloween! ;)
